Yesterday the 23 September was the anniversary of the legendary John Coltrane's birthday. To celebrate this fact the talented Blackclassical released another epic mix dedicated to the great man. I posted his last effort released in 2010 which I still regard as the best mix/podcast I've ever heard.

Gil Scott-Heron April 1, 1949 – May 27, 2011

The great man has and will always be one of my inspirations and got me into spoken word. His music has never been far from my stereo. Most recently its been his 1982 album Moving Targets. I saw him at Somerset House last year. I'm not going to write much, many people have written eloquently about the charismatic pioneering activist, poet and musician. I'm not even going to put together a mix or compilation because again, there are many already. So instead here's a run down of the ones I've found:
